Reporters looked back at last year December 11th's Chinese Pop Charts (RTHK) and discovered that before the RHTK's music awards, EEG singers Joey Yung, Leo Ku and Vincy Chan were on the Top 20 list. Joey's Disfigured was also the winning song, but after EEG got on bad terms with RTHK and announced they won't be attending their music awards, EEG and RTHK's threats came one after another. The collaboration between the two have not changed, however, EEG singers were not on the pop charts at all in January, in fact, they didn't even make it on the Top 20. It was only half-biological son Kelton Lam's Mandarin song She Said lingered at the end. However, Metro Radio and CRHK both broadcasted songs by EEG singers, which lead to suspicions that RTHK is boycotting EEG.

This month's winning songs includes songs by Joyce Cheng, Hins Cheung, Gold Label newcomer Erika and the group C All Star.

EEG's CEO (Ng Yue) was asked if RTHK is 'biding time for revenge'? He said: "I hope not, but it's been 4-5 weeks and still no songs on the charts, it is hard to believe their not. I hope the radio station is fair, I already called San Gor (Assistant Broadcast TV Director Cheung Man San) to ask about the situation." As for the Chinese Pop Charts' convener (Chow Kwok Fung) denied that they are prohibiting EEG songs from broadcasting. He believes EEG singers didn't get on Top 20 because they haven't released any albums yet and the current trend is Mandarin songs.
