Big Four member Dicky Cheung’s lunar birthday was last Saturday (Feb 20th) -- that afternoon, even though good friend Edmong Leung had to go to his uncle Wan Chi Keung’s (Wan Lo) funeral, he still continued to attend the rehearsals for Big Four’s upcoming concert as well as helped celebrate Dicky’s birthday along with his other Big Four brothers.That day, Edmond arrived early at the dance studio to rehearse for the concert, then after singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to Dicky and eating birthday cake, he told his ‘brothers’ that he would have to leave early in order to take care of a family matter; afterwards (several days later), everyone realized that the ‘family matter’ was actually his uncle’s funeral and cremation, which took place privately [in accordance with Wan Lo’s request prior to his passing]. With the experiences he has gone through lately, Edmond has definitely shown growth in terms of his personality – he is able to handle his emotions better and not allow situations to affect his work.
As for birthday boy Dicky, his birthday wishes this year are for good health, harmony within the family, things are smooth in his career, and that Big Four does not disband too early. Earlier, during his ‘western’ birthday, he was working in Hunan, however his Big Four ‘brothers’ also helped to celebrate – even though they had initially forgotten and had to be reminded by their assistants. Dicky laughed at the memory and said: “Yea, for that one, they didn’t even get me a cake – they just had me blow out a lighter and pretend it was a candle.”
