20 year old Mag Lam won first place from her participation on TVB's The Voice and has gain popularity ever since. Mag's covers for G.E.M'S A.I.N.Y. and A.Lin's Love How To Go have become her representative works, the clip of her performance has circulated all over the internet! The day before, the 3 award winner Mag signed a TVB management contract. It was understood that besides attracting many large record companies' interest, she has also become advertisers and shopping mall shows new favourite, including watches, clothing, active shoes and beauty products. The amount of jobs she is receiving is directly pressuring the TVB first line Fadans Charmaine Sheh, Fala Chen and Bernice Liu, her jobs are astonishing.
Wonder if GEM Tang is afraid that Mag is stealing the limelight, but she developed her work on Youtube. GEM recently uploaded a clip of her using her famous goldfish mouth to sing and play new song Good To Be Bad. GEM showed off her cute and singing talent on Youtube! Yesterday GEM accepted an interview over the phone and expressed: "I rarely watch TV, but I know she sang my song. I especially went online to watch it! On the night of the finals, I went online to leave a message to support her! (Who sings better?) We both have different syles. Her version is short and gets into the chorus fast, I sing slowly, it's hard to compare!" She expressed that she does not feel threatened by Mag and generoulsy expressed that it's a good thing that the music scene has singers with different vocals and laughed saying that if Mag is to release an album, she is willing to write songs for her.
Also, 'The Voice' producer expressed that there will be a "The Voice 2" concert held in February 2011: "Mag will perform a cover of A-Lin's Love How To Run, when the time comes will ask Mag and GEM to sing together. James Ng and Chrissie Chow will do a duet."
