After the miscarriage of the twins, Kelly Chen has been resting for the past 2 months at home. Aged 38, Kelly became pregnant through artificial insemination with twin girls. However 5 months into the pregnancy, Kelly was rushed into hospital after feeling unusual stomach pains. After long and tough fight to help the twins, Kelly and her husband faced the shocked and sad news of miscarriage of both their daughters.

For the past 2 months since leaving the hospital, Kelly has been staying and resting at home away from the public media. Even though she has been at home, she still encouraged people to donate towards the Japan relief fund via video clip filmed at her home. She spoke about helping the victims and people caught in the earthquake and tsunami tragedy and emphasised that donations was crucial.

The media heard the news that Kelly will resume her work from 29th of this month and will attend with Eric Tsang to an opening of a jewellery store as a spokesperson. Oriental Daily approached Kelly’s management to verify this news. In response, Kelly’s assistant responded: “Kelly has rested over 2 months. Physically and mentally she is fit and well now. So she is starting work soon and is being positive in life.”

Asked if Kelly is feeling anxious, her assistant continued: “Not anxious, she was getting bored at home and wants to go back to work.” (Is she worried about the media might bring up the past and causing upset?) “Kelly is prepared mentally but I hope everybody be more considerate and not mention it as she has teary eyes.”

Kelly’s assistant revealed that since Kelly has been at home, she has been spending a lot of time with her son. She would not even go out but still check on the Internet for messages and news. Aside from this, Kelly watched television, listen to music and read magazines to pass time. Also, her assistant added: “Kelly is referring to Chinese medicine to help get her body and health better. She looks OK, now she is rehearsing her songs, planning for next Cantonese album. She has received many messages from her fans around the China, Taiwan and Hong Kong and felt very moved by them.”
