Cecilia helps style husband, aims to win Best Actor

The 30th Hong Kong Film Awards Ceremony is due to be held on 17th April. This year, the fight for the top award for Best Actor is fierce and the nominations are Chow Yun Fat, Jacky Cheung, Tony Leung Ga Fei, Nicky Cheung Ga Fei. The film ‘The Stool Pigeon’ by Emperor Motion Pictures has two male leads in the Best Actor Award category and Nicolas Tse has a good chance of gaining this title.

Yesterday Nicolas Tse and Cecilia Cheung were seen shopping in Admiralty. Walking hand in hand, they were spotted shopping in men’s fashion stores. The couple kept their cool and smiled when they saw reporters following them and even generously accepted an interview.

Reporters found out that the couple were shopping for Nicolas’s outfit for the award ceremony event. They were shopping for trousers to go with Nicolas’ outfit. Cecilia expressed that she is very excited as well as anxious for her husband over the award night. She laughed: “Normally I would not leave my sons and come out shopping, but usually my sister helps look after them and at the moment I have left my sons with my maids because my sister has gone to Canada for her own daughter’s schooling.”

Cecilia seemed to be Nicolas’ fashion advisor, she said: “He is very calm, look at what he is wearing on his feet, just flip flops. I am very anxious so I am helping and advising him on the outfit for that awards evening.” Whilst Cecilia was talking to the reporters, Nicolas entered the fitting rooms to try on some clothes. They seemed very busy but very romantic and always holding hands.

Finally, Cecilia asked the reporters if Nicolas has a good chance of winning that award and claimed that she will definitely join him that evening if he was to win. According to Cecilia, she has work on the day of the ceremony but she is hoping to rearrange her work schedule so she can stay in Hong Kong and support her husband. Although Cecilia seemed keen on attending the ceremony, Nicolas expressed: “I do not mind. I am not anxious about it at all.” To this, Cecilia responded: “He is not that fussed. To be nominated for the award, as his wife, of course I would like him to win!”

The two carried on browsing in shops and openly posed for photographs for reporters. They appear to be in a good mood and very smitten by each other company.
