Mag Lam is labelled 'Big Lung' queen by EEG

Since winning TVB ‘The Voice’ competition and well known for her little big lungs, Mag Lam’s singing career has been smooth sailing. Last night at EEG spring gala event, Mag appeared as a surprise guest.

Despite many of EEG artists not being able to attend, the night was full of stars. Those attended were Gillian Chung, Ah Sa, Raymond Lam, Vincy Chan, Leo Ku, Yumiko Cheng, Ken Hung and many others. Little Big Lungs, Mag was the centre of attention at the event!

EEG Chief Executive, Ng Yu made two big announcements at the event. The first announcement is that in mid April, the company group open a drama school. The final news is that Mag is officially a signed artist with EEG. Ng Yu expressed: “I had discussed with Virginia Lok about Mag and we felt that tonight was the appropriate event to announcement Mag to everyone. Mag is a star pupil.” When Mag went up onto the stage, Ng Yu presented her with a red vase known as the ‘Graduate vase’. It had the numbers ‘0721’ which is also Mag birth date, the vase was presented as a EEG company identity and welcoming present to Mag.

Mag has been many record companies' main target and EEG won Mag over with its 7 figure contract deal. Regarding the contract, Mag was not too clear on the details. She revealed that TVB has been helping her select the record company and pulled the right connections for her.

Due to finish schooling by July, Mag hopes to work on her first album and to release this after her studies. When asked if Mag wants to sing a duet with Joey Yung or Raymond Lam, she answered: "Of course I want to, I want to sing duet with a lot of artists." Asked if she wants to sell a property afterwards, Mag answered: "I am not rich yet." It was also the first time, Mag met the boss and she greeted him a happy New Year and received a red packet in return.

Ng Yu revealed that having Mag as a signed artist is not about investing huge pot of money. He expressed that he will work with her to release albums and hold concerts and maybe for this year. However he will take things one step at a time.
