Many guys who have watched Japanese movie (My Girlfriend Is a Cyborg) have imagined having a beautiful and intelligent robot girlfriend as a companion. You would have thought that it required huge amounts of money, time and talent to create the dream, but Hong Kong designer Ricky spent half a year using a twenty thousand budget to create a robot of his idol Kelly Chen. The robot's facial aspects are created in detail, even the eyes, lips and neck can move. Kelly praised that it looked exactly like her real self.Ricky stated that he was previously a member of Kelly Chen's fan club and knows a lot about her. Therefore he decided to produce a robot that was similar to his idol. Due to the budget he wasn't able to make the robot's legs or arms move. If he had the right budget he would make the whole body move. His next target is to produce a Bruce Lee robot.
Kelly saw a clip of the finalised robot and said "Wow, how can you make it resemble me so much? I cannot believe my fans are so talented. If universities or organizations can support young people in funding such projects, the results would be even better. If someone is able to produce a robot that can walk I would be interested to borrow one for my MV.
