Since the broadcast of highly acclaimed TVB series Triumph in the Skies in 2003, TVB had intentions to start a sequel all along, but because of the large budget, the series was delayed and delayed, until early this year when TVB finally contacted an airline that was willing to sponsor the sequel. Triumph in the Skies II (TITS 2) was set to start shooting in September 2011 with Michael Miu, Ron Ng, Kenneth Ma, Bosco Wong, Myolie Wu, Kate Tsui, Fala Chen and Nancy Wu as the main cast.

It was understood that the production department already reserved a schedule from the artists to shoot the series in September. However, the arrangements by the airline had some changes, and the sequel was pushed back again to start in December 2011 instead. TITS 2 producer Tommy Leung directly admitted: "That is a fact, before we marked up the September schedule for the artists, but because there were problems with the sponsoring airline and we couldn't fly over to the locations for shooting yet, that the schedule was postponed to December. So, we gave the artists back their September schedules."

According to the news, many of the FaDan and Siu Sangs turned down all September jobs to shoot this heavy-weight series without hesitation. It was said Ron Ng initially was scheduled to be back in Mainland to shoot a series, but to accommodate the schedule for TITS 2, he did not hesitate to turn down the big money opportunity. An insider said: "Ron Ng did turn back around and went to talk to the Mainland series crew again. As for Myolie Wu, she had it better. For TITS 2, she shifted her work on her new music album to another time. Although she won't be able to shoot TITS 2 in September, TVB suddenly decided to start Ghetto Justice 2, so Myolie's schedule is not much of a mess anymore." Ron admitted he is currently discussing an opportunity to shoot a Mainland series, but when asked if it was great losses for him to turn down a Mainland series earlier so he can shoot TITS 2, he did not directly respond: "Still discussing now, if I can't get the Mainland series, I'll just treat September as a time for resting."

Also, 36 Hours On Call starring Tavia Yeung, Kenneth Ma, Him Law and Mandy Wong initially was suppose to start mid-June, but because there was problems earlier with the Extras (temporary actors), which delayed the shooting of Return to the Three Kingdoms, Lives of Omission and several other series, the schedules were affected. Scheduled to start shooting early July, according to news, the series costume fitting was affected as well, being postponed again and again. Tavia felt that it's a good thing for 36 Hours On Call being delayed because the artists can have more time to rest: "There is 25 episodes to the series, and is estimated to complete in October. Because we need a lot of time to do our homework on the medical profession, we need time to prepare and so the shooting schedule is rather long."
