With Nicholas Tse determined to get a divorce, his marriage with Cecilia Cheung seems to be heading towards an inevitable end. Although Cecilia refused to sign the divorce papers and even threw Lucas a birthday bash, in hope that Nicholas will change his mind about the divorce, it was rumoured that the actor is maintaining his stance.
It was reported earlier that the actress took a few days leave from the shoot of her new movie The Lion Roars 2 to go back to Hong Kong in preparation for Lucas' birthday. Cecilia was even spotted bringing her sons to shop for birthday presents prior to the party.
Apart from that, it was also said that the actress apologised to her mother-in-law Deborah Li and pleaded for her help. To make a final attempt in saving her marriage, Cecilia was even rumoured to have invited her in-laws and Nicholas's sister, Jennifer Tse, to attend Lucas' birthday bash.
At 11am yesterday, Nicholas, who just recovered from a common cold, went to Yang Ming Shan to help Lucas celebrate an early birthday. As Cecilia had previously refused to sign the divorce papers, the actor even brought along his lawyers along hoping that Cecilia would give in, but the actress still refused to comply.
It was said that as Nicholas will be flying off to Mainland China to film a new drama series soon and will be away from Hong Kong for a long period of time, the actor would want to finalise his unfinished business before leaving the country, hence the reason why he brought his lawyers along yesterday.
It seems like Nicholas had already made up his mind about the divorce and is currently waiting for Cecilia to sign on the dotted line.
