Yesterday Steven Ma and Linda Chung were out filming for the new TVB series ‘Lucky Father’. The crew and actors were out on the streets filming a bike accident scene. However the filming had led to passersby to call the police and caused a bit of an awkward scene with the crew and the authorities. At the end, the film crew had to terminate the filming.

Reporters went to the cast members to understand more on the incident. According to Steven , Linda and himself were involved in scenes regarding a bike accident. The script included many extras to be involved and posing as students hurt in the accident. At the time, a passerby saw the scene and then reported it to the police. This bought the police onto the street and the crew had to stop filming.

In addition, Steven revealed that at that time, the atmosphere was a bit tense because there was another passerby who was annoyed with the crew. The passerby was dissatisfied that the crew vehicles had the air conditioning turned on and hence the engines running when stationary. Steven said: “We need to change our clothes in the car so that is why the air conditioning is on but that is only for a short period of time. Then we switch off the vehicle engine. That person came over to the vehicle to tell us off. I avoided the confrontation and me and Linda waited for that person to leave before we continued with filming.”

In response to the police incident, Steven continued: “I praise the police for being so responsive. I had not guessed the police car came so fast.” Steven pointed out that TVB usually applied for permission to do street filming and there was no exception this time. Although the police understood the situation at the end, the atmosphere was quite intense. Steven added: “That passerby was probably really affected because they kept scolding us. Yelling at us for being selfish, inconsiderate and even saying terrible words to curse us!”
