Twins will be holding their "Everyone Bounce Up" concert this weekend. Yesterday afternoon at 3pm, Gillian Chung, Charlene Choi and 12 other dancers were in Hong Kong Coliesum rehearsing. The group of dancers were on stage one climbing on another making a human pyramid, an extremely challenging stunt.
Although all the dancers are well trained, when the slingshot stage moved right, the dancers supporting the human pyramid on the lowest row lost balance. The human pyramid collapsed and the two female dancers at the very top fell head first 10 feet to the ground. At the time, the two female dancers were still awake, while the other staff immediately called the police. Soon after, two ambulances arrived at the scene and rushed the two girls to the hospital. One of the dancers was seriously injured and had to put on neck gear.
Twins are worried about their two dancers condition, however, their on a tight rehearsal schedule, Ah Gil and Ah Sa could only put away their grief and continue to practice. Their manager Mani Fok learned of the accident and rushed to HK Colisuem to see what happened. When Twins continued with their rehearsal, the staff were on standby during the whole process in case of another accident, Mani also watched closely to prevent any other accidents.
Shouts to stop the music
About the human pyramid collapsing, Mani expressed that Twins was in the middle of the stage singing, when they saw the dancers fall, they quickly shouted to stop the music. Twins also rushed over to comfort the they, but instead the two dancers comforted Twins back expressing that when they reach the hospital and find out that it's nothing serious, they will come back to rehearse. Twins was very touched, trying hard to hold in the tears. Asked if the accident will affect the performance tonight? Mani said: "Have to see how the dance instructor arranges it." Mani expressed that Twins concerts often encounters accidents because their stunts are often very challenging.
