Hong Kong actor Jordan Chan has seemingly owned up to speculations of a shotgun marriage with his fiancée, actress Cherrie Ying when reporters quizzed him. The couple is due to wed on Valentine's Day in Las Vegas.The 42-year-old was at an event with Ruby Lin and Chrissie Chau in Hong Kong's shopping district Causeway Bay for make-up artist and good friend Rick Chin's new skincare business on Monday. It was his first public appearance since announcing the wedding date, and the media was curious whether the bride-to-be is already pregnant.
When asked this, Jordan could only shyly thank reporters repeatedly for their blessings.
Is there a double blessing, reporters continued asking. He beamed, "Thanks but sorry, I really cannot say."
Sensing that there is more than meets the eye, the media asked if they could expect good news in a few months.
"Yes, thanks," he conceded.
Known for his gangster roles, Jordan also promised to earn big bucks to give his wife and children a good life.
Jordan and Cherrie have been dating for three years and will exchange their vows on 14 Feb at Vegas' Little White Wedding Chapel. The wedding reception will be held in Hong Kong.
