Michael Miu looks forward to his kids buying him a house

While attending an open house yesterday, Michael Miu and his wife Jamie Chik were asked whether they gained a lot of money from investing in the real estate market all these years. Michael replied: “Buying a house and maintaining a business are both prone to gains and losses; to me, money is just a material need – most important for me all these years is that I ‘gained’ a wife and 2 kids.” His philosophy when it comes to investing is that as long as it doesn’t affect his family’s standard of living and he can afford it, then he moves forward with it. As for Jamie, she admits that she is more ‘old-school’ and therefore likes buying real estate as a means of precaution in case the market goes up.

Asked whether they invested in any real estate for their children? Michael said: “Actually, I hope that in the future, my kids will have the ability to buy me a house!” Jamie expressed that she does not want her kids to be too dependent on their parents – therefore, if they decide that they want to buy a house, she will support them to a certain extent, but won’t pay for the entire thing.
